FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

The average for the wedding industry is 75-100 edited photos, per hour of shooting - so for a six hour wedding you could expect 450+ photos. I use more of a story telling approach for all my shoots, so I don't cap my photos at a certain number.

For sessions (engagement, family, newborn, etc) Usually 150 - 300 photos.

What should we wear for our session?

I can help you decide your outfits, but generally I say wear something you feel comfortable in! I have lots of style guides on my Pinterest - depending on location, time of year and vibe you're going for. Are you doing an epic mountain engagement session or a at home lifestyle session with your family?

What’s the best time of year for a session?

Being in the PNW, late Summer - early Fall is usually the best weather - BUT I've shot year round, so really it is whenever you want. I also have a few indoor studio spaces I love to use if the weather isn't the best.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

This is a very common question I get. And I get it - even with years of working as a photographer, I still don't love my photo being taken. BUT what I will say is this, trust your photographer - this is why it is so important you find someone that you not only love how they capture photos (the photo, the editing, etc) but also someone you can trust to capture such an important moment in your life.

When should I expect to receive my photos?

For sessions, your edited gallery will be ready within 4-6 weeks after the session.

For weddings you can expect your fully edited gallery within 8-12 weeks after the wedding. Sneak peaks are delivered within a week!

What if I have to cancel or reschedule my session / wedding? Will I get a refund?

This will depend on how much you have paid and how close it is to the session/ wedding. All sessions/weddings have a nonrefundable amount which differs based on the package. For sessions, if you cancel two weeks before, I can refund you the session time (minus the non-refundable part). For weddings, I can typically refund a percentage (minus the non-refundable part) but it does depend on how close we are to the wedding and how much has been paid towards the total.
